Harefield Hospital
With five operating theatres, four catheter laboratories and 168 patient beds, Harefield Hospital is one of the largest and most experienced hospitals for cardiovascular healthcare. There is also a dedicated heart attack centre for heart attack emergencies, and their arrival-to-treatment time is 27 minutes — one of the fastest in Europe.
Harefield Hospital has become a national and international leader in the treatment of heart failure, with large research trials leading to significant developments in the area. It has jointly pioneered work in the development of ‘artificial hearts’ (also known as left ventricular assist devices or LVADs).
Dr Karagiannis utilises its facilities to investigate cardiovascular concerns and provide the highest-quality treatment.
